Unhinged Productions Hosts Open Forum on Gay Marriage

Local LGBT theater company  Unhinged Productions will be holding a open forum on the subject of gay marriage in preparation for their May production, Uncivil Unions. Members of Unhinged have been interviewing members of the Houston community about same-sex unions to create this show, which Joe Angel Babb, artistic director, describes as “combining docudrama and sketch comedy and interviews and journalism and research.” The conversation will cover equal rights, federal to local government, taxes, and religion, with the intention that Uncivil Unions truly represents where Houston is on the subject at this moment in history. Be part of the conversation at the GLBT Community Center, 3400 Montrose, Suite 207, on March 11 at 7 p.m. Learn more about Unhinged Productions at comeunhinged.com. —Neil Ellis Orts
