New Cyber Center Benefits Young and Old Alike

On July 23, media and special donors celebrated the grand opening of the David Bohnett Cyber Center, Montrose Counseling Center’s new resource center for HATCH and SPRY participants.

Funding for the new Cyber Center, with its desktop computer stations, comes from the David Bohnett Foundation, which recognizes the importance of providing Internet access, educational enhancement, and computer technology to nonprofit organizations that serve LGBT communities.

“We are very pleased that the David Bohnett Foundation recognizes the work we do with GLBT youth and seniors,” said MCC Executive Director Ann J. Robison, PhD. “By providing state-of-the-art technology, the David Bohnett Foundation helps us launch our first intergenerational program.” HATCH serves LGBT and questioning youth, ages 13 to 20, and SPRY provides services to seniors age 60 and older.
