GAY BUSINESS ON RADIO XM satellite radio has announced it has launched The Focus Group, the nation’s first show devoted to business from a gay perspective. Noted marketers Tim Bennett and John Nash have signed as hosts for the weekly program which aims to provide listeners with insights and conversation about gays and lesbians in business. The Focus Group airs Mondays, 7–8 p.m., on XM’s Take Five channel (XM 155). Details: www.xmradio.com.

SURVEY SAYS A survey focusing on gay and lesbian consumer habits has determined that Bravo, Apple, Showtime, HBO, Absolut, and Levi’s are the gay-friendliest brands, while WalMart, Dunkin’ Donuts, Cracker Barrel, Exxon Mobil, and Samsung earn the lowest marks from gay and lesbian consumers. The survey also revealed that more than two-thirds of gay and lesbian respondents said they are more likely to buy from a company they considered to be gay-friendly. The 2008 survey was conducted by Clark, Martire & Bartolomeo on behalf of the Prime Access ad agency and PlanetOut, Inc.
