Equality Texas, Freedom To Marry Week, butch women.
CREDIT WHERE DUE
I read the article in OutSmart titled “Caucus Partners with Equality Texas to Lobby in Austin” (News Briefs, February 2007). I wanted to note that to my knowledge HERA and Nechman, Simoneaux and Frye are the only local partners for Equality Texas on the Lobby Day project—HERA has been active in working with Equality Texas on Lobby Day since early November.

WEDDED MISTERS
Congratulations [to OutSmart] on 14 years of amazing work and service to the community!
Thank you so much for asking us to participate and allowing us to spread the word on Freedom To Marry Week (“The Marrying Men,” February 2007). The article and photo turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Both Natasha [Avey] and John [Conroy] were so easy to work with and we are certainly delighted with the results. Great job on the layout/design and title for the piece!

Editor’s note: Contributing writer Natasha Avey interviewed Darrin Brindle and Mark Eggleston for our February issue. They were photographed by John Conroy.

BUTCH IT UP
Really?! People hate butch women? Even lesbians hate butch women? [What a World, February 2007]? Not me. I’m a long-time lesbian with impeccable credentials and I love butch women! LOVE ’em! Every single one.

CORRECTIONS
Randall Terrell is political director of Equality Texas, not Equality Houston, as we mistakenly indicated in News Briefs in the February issue.
In Time Out with OutSmart in February, we incorrectly identified the landmark in the photograph. It is Castle Howard.
