Cole Porter’s zany musical pines over the lack of shock value in a glimpse of stocking. He also claims a “sniff” of cocaine doesn’t have a fighting chance against love. Good thing Mr. Porter didn’t write this show in the ’80s, else he woulda sung a different tune. Drug commentary aside, things are kooky for Billy Crocker and Reno Sweeny aboard a Europe-bound liner when love is in the ocean air. The closeted Porter comes out with the openly gay team of director Roy Hamlin and choreographer Greg Daniels.
