Girls Inc. Hosts 2012 Margarita Competition at Firehouse Saloon on Oct. 17

Annual fundraiser brings together strong, smart and bold women for a cocktails and a cause

Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, an organization dedicated to improving and influencing the lives of girls, will host its third annual Be Bold Margarita Competition at The Firehouse Saloon on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012.  Serving as emcee will be KHOU’s Great Day Houston host, Ms. Deborah Duncan.

With the purchase of a ticket to the event, supporters will sample a variety of unique margarita concoctions and vote for their favorite flavor. Previously, the annual fundraiser has featured margaritas with jalapenos, watermelons and many more uncommon ingredients. Delicious hors d’oeuvres will be included, as well as the opportunity to bid on a variety of exquisite silent auction items. Entertainment will be provided by Steve Straker and the Troublemakers. Awards will be given to attendees wearing the largest sombrero and the best mustache.

All proceeds benefit Girls Inc. of Greater Houston whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
