Feliz cumpleaños, fishies!

Our merry trickster, Mercury, will be going retrograde this month. Try to get all of your new projects started before the 8th—otherwise you’ll have to wait until April 8. And with Mars, planet of action, already retrograde, things may slow down even more. Try to find a good way to release the tension that is building. All of this starts to clear up by mid-April. On the 13th, 14th, and 15th, there is a very positive alignment of the planets. We should all be feeling especially good on those days—perhaps a sign of better economic conditions. • Good days for activity are the 5th, 6th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 21st, and 24th. Days to spend at the lake are the 3rd, 4th, 11th, 12th, and 29th. • There is a full moon on the 8th in Virgo, so watch your temper on that day. People are likely to be overly reactionary. Steer clear of drama if you can. •  Spring begins on March 20 at 12:15 a.m. Central Time. This is also the first day of Aries, and it’s a great time for spring cleaning with both Mercury and Mars retrograde. Weekend Warriors, unite!

PISCES (February 19–March 20). Happy Birthday to the Mermaids and Mermen. Our birthday is our personal yearly cycle. As your birthday approaches, you should be reflecting on last year’s goals and accomplishments, and setting goals for the coming year that can be put into play right after your birthday. Relationships are tense until mid-April. Take the time to talk with your partner and clear the air. Otherwise, anger will clear it for you. Finances demand your attention after the 20th.

ARIES (March 21–April 19). As the month opens, you are in a big time of rest and retreat. Mercury goes retrograde in your sign this month. You don’t seem to have the same energy, and it may not return until after mid-April. After the 20th, you’ll start to get a big surge of energy. You will be responding more spontaneously and are likely to change any set plans. Your career is undergoing a major change. If you are feeling trapped, you need to be looking at doing something that attracts your passion. If you are feeling energized, it’s because you feel that passion for your work. Relationships can seem like more trouble than they’re worth, but only for this month.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20). This is a very good month for you to promote yourself with social groups and organizations, particularly those that you are already associated with. Your charisma will be very noticeable and will only make your relationships work better. It’s also a good month for cleaning up your office space and replacing the things that are not working. After the 20th, you’ll be more introverted and need time to yourself. It might be a good time to get away.

GEMINI (May 21–June 21). You are very focused on your career as the month begins. You are looking for something that gives you great creative satisfaction or makes the world a better place. With your ruler Mercury retrograde, it would be a good month to re-associate with old friends or business organizations. This would provide you with both an outlet for your career and increased social activity. You are still being stirred up at home regarding where you live and how you feel about your family. You are just letting some steam off.

CANCER (June 22–July 22). You are especially busy this month with an agenda that you are going to try to make happen. You are feeling very creative, and at the same time looking to put that creativity to actual use as you reinvent yourself and your career. Watch what you say—you may think you are just being glib, but your words cut deep this month. You will find it harder to sleep after the 20th until the end of the month. Make sure you give yourself time to unwind so you can go to sleep. Don’t let your career control you.

LEO (July 23–August 22). You are in a very deep, introspective mood as the month opens. You want to know more about what makes you tick. Relationship energies are tense as you try to get past some blocks in your own understanding. And you are also taking a hard look at your finances. It’s not that you are worried about them, but that you are taking more control over this part of your life. After the 20th, your mood lightens and you are ready for more social activity. Career energies are still very good, and could be excellent around mid-month.

VIRGO (August 23–September 22). Mars, planet of action, continues to be retrograde in your sign until mid-April. Mars is bringing old issues to the surface that you’ll want to address as soon as possible. Just remember the good old days, back when you had patience. Sleeping could be difficult and sporadic. Doing some exercise would be good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it. Mars is also making your relationships a bit edgy. Usually Virgos are not very confrontational, but with Mars on the scene, you are learning how. Money and finances take on a larger role after the end of the month.

LIBRA (September 23–October 23). Health and relationships are spotlighted for you this month. This is a very good month for you to get back to more healthy eating, and you will have plenty of motivation to stick with it. Co-workers may seem more irritable than usual. Move away from the drama! Relationships are in a period of renewal. You should be looking at new long-term goals for your relationship, or looking for the right time to end it. Add some adventure to your relationship—it needs the boost. Career and security are still big issues for you until October.

SCORPIO (October 24–November 21). This is a good month for the Scorpios. Relationship energies are very positive, so if you are involved, this is a good time to be together. If you are single, you are more magnetic than usual. There are plenty of career opportunities this month, but you are in a wait-and-see mode. You’ll see some changes at work, but those mostly have to do with assignments and not the job itself. It’s also a good time to restart a workout routine. You are more creative this month and feeling more playful. Work becomes a bit more tense after the 20th.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21). Home and family have your interest this month. You are very comfortable being at home, your place of retreat, and you have needed that more than usual. There is a lot of rethinking going on with your career. Old problems are resurfacing, and you don’t know if you want to take on the challenge again. You won’t know until after mid-April. After the 20th, you come out of your cave and feel social again—but only barely. Work is very, very busy.

CAPRICORN (December 22–January 19). You realize that your life is changing at a very rapid rate, and that will continue. You do get somewhat of a break this month as you feel less pressure. You are able to talk about your feelings and get clearer about the direction you are going. March is a time to get some perspective, while your overall plan is still to get your life cleaned up and settled. Nothing will keep you from getting there. By the 20th, the pace picks back up. Keep your plans on the 22nd very light. Your emotions will be strong.

AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18). You are beginning to open up to talents and skills that have been dormant in your life. Rapunzel is coming out of her tower! You are more outspoken and are communicating more than you have in a long time. If you are in a relationship, you are getting more involved with your partner’s business. If you are single, you are looking for someone to partner with to help express this rebirth of your ideals. Money continues to be a big part of this month, and you want to do more with what you have. After the 20th, you will be more impatient. Slow down a bit so you won’t drive yourself crazy.
