The One-Year Anniversary of Asher Brown’s Passing

Please join us on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 7- 8 pm at the Jade Buddha Temple in remembrance and celebration of Asher’s life along with sharing the compassion, kindness and generosity of spirit he embraced which helped create so much positive change this past year.

We encourage everyone to bring their families as we gather together on an evening where all are welcome to share memories while finding encouragement, strength and healing. We will also discuss the new state laws that will protect every student in Texas along with coming together as a community to keep future tragedies from occurring.

Following the service, we will have a candlelight vigil around the lotus pond. There, we will have silent prayer in support of and bring awareness to all those who are still victims of bullying and potential suicide. Any donations will kindly be accepted to help in the development of the Asher Brown Foundation to promote anti-bullying and suicide prevention programs in schools and communities nationwide.

This event is non-denominational and will not focus on one religion over another. Security and gated parking will be provided. Attire is casual – but please, no shorts.
