Cindy Cuellar, who produced Mayor Annise Parker’s online video messages during the 2009 campaign, is heading up a video history project for the Executive & Professional Association of Houston (EPAH). She describes the organization’s new project: “EPAH is part of GLBT history. The organization has been around for 32 years and is going strong. We feel it is important to document EPAH’s history to remind its members and others how EPAH got its start, and to remember those who were founding members and who are no longer with us—to hear and see how they laid the foundation for such an outstanding organization. We want to capture stories of EPAH from the past and see how it has evolved over 32 years.

“Unfortunately, we have lost many members who have been involved in the organization from the early years—but the ones we have left have enlightened us with great stories and lessons.”

EPAH President Manuel Granda adds: “Preserving our history will help highlight the extent to which EPAH members have been involved in the growth of our city and our community.” —Brandon Wolf
