On October 21, Houston Mayor Annise Parker presented the LOAF (Lesbians Over Age Fifty) a proclamation from the city commemorating the group’s 25th anniversary at a reception held at The Center, 401 Branard Street.

LOAF is a social networking group for lesbians, single or coupled, who are 50 years of age or older. Founded in 1987 LOAF is one of the oldest lesbian organizations in Houston and has connected with over 400 lesbians 50 years of age and older. INFO: www.loafhouston.org.
