Legacy Community Health to Launch Drive-Time FM Radio Show in Houston

Legacy Community Health debuts a weekly radio program tomorrow on KPFT 90.1FM on health policy and politics. The show, called “The Pulse: Heartbeat of a Healthy Houston,” will air every Tuesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. beginning April 5. The Pulse will explore issues that impact all Houstonians and will make complex health news and analysis more accessible to Texans.

The Honorable Ed Emmet, Harris County Judge, will join the inaugural show to discuss support for Medicaid expansion in our state. Texas Tribune reporter Edgar Walters will also be a guest, providing listeners with the latest on the Zika virus, how health care issues will factor into the presidential election, and more.

The show will be hosted by Januari Leo, Director of Public Affairs at Legacy, and James Lee, Public Affairs Field Specialist at Legacy.
