Lindsay Peyton, owner of Cadence Enterprise, a public relations and artist consulting firm, will curate the event with Mitch Cohen, founder and manager of the First Saturday Arts Market.

“Karen Derr is a true supporter of the arts,” Peyton said. “She has sponsored so many events introducing local artists to audiences in Houston and Galveston. Now it’s time for artists to return the favor. I hope the community joins us in supporting Karen’s campaign.”

Cohen has known Derr for several years. “When I met Karen, it became clear that her passion for showcasing artists was equaled only by her passion for real estate, and now improving our neighborhoods,” Cohen said.  “I’m very excited about supporting Karen the same way that we met, through the arts.”

Derr has lived in Houston since her childhood and now resides in the historic Houston Heights with her husband Robert.
