Christopher Lord’s “Dickens Junction” mysteries are a delight. For this latest offering, he has combined a small town, a conference of Dickens scholars, priceless gems, a coveted historical document, hunky men of all persuasions, an obsequious hypnotist, shills, a beautiful movie star, a small-town detective, and an Agatha Christie ending. The result is a rather cozy story written in a style that is, sadly, disappearing. This book will be loved by anyone who loves the old-style mysteries.
