Wrigley Field Hosts ‘Pride Day’

CHICAGO – It was Pride Day at Wrigley Field last Sunday.

Ticket sales for the Chicago Cubs game against the Pittsburgh Pirates benefitted local AIDS charities and groups advocating for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered people. That includes Chicago’s gay community center called the Center on Halsted, as well as the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

The event coincided with the national gay softball world series in Chicago. Thousands of athletes were in Chicago for the tournament.
