ALBANY, N.Y. – New York state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli is issuing a video message to express his strong support for legalizing gay marriage.
The Democrat calls the measure a matter of common decency and human dignity. He says New York isn’t a true democracy if gay couples aren’t allowed to legally marry with all the legal rights that go with marriage.
DiNapoli has long supported legalizing same-sex marriage in New York and now is working with The Human Rights Campaign in its effort to lobby the Legislature in Albany.
