Backed by her first new band in more than 20 years, Kathryn Dawn is a now little older and a little wider, but that voice can still blow the leaves right off the trees. The first cut and video, “I Confess,” which she’s been performing in various television talk-show venues, soars in a stacked tribute to lang’s long-time musical supernova, Roy Orbison, but “Sugar Buzz” tells us everything we need to know about lesbian passion.
