This slim volume offers us a series of prose poems, each deftly defining a single detail from the uniquely despairing life of Henry Darer. Themes of abuse, murder, institutions, and the divine are administered in just large enough doses that we are driven to the heart of the matter. Not an easy read, but a worthwhile one.
