This first novel by Cynthia Lyn would have been good had there been a decent editor involved. Too much telling, not enough showing left this reader longing for a blue pencil. The only reason to read this book is if you are looking for a mystery with a sympathetic portrayal of a transgender character. Still, there’s enough potential here that I would read a second book by Lyn if a quick perusal showed the editorial flaws of the first had been addressed.
