Openly gay Martin Watkins has been Marc Almond’s pianist for 20 years, and now finds himself accompanying the dramatic Euro vocalist Maggie De Monde. The pleasing opening track, “Night of a Thousand Stars,” is sweeping and continental, and is aptly followed by the atmospheric, story-weaving “Time for Love.” The closing, ballad-y, soft cover of Roxy Music’s “More Than This” reminds us how much we always loved that song.
