Upon first listen, we thought, “Oh no, not another Rufus Wainwright clone.” But on closer examination, this openly gay musician who doesn’t compromise his lyrics’ pronouns shines through of his own accord with soaring backgrounds and intriguing transitions. “So F*cked Up” and “The Trap” especially resonate.
