Second Saturday in Second Ward, a neighborhood block party and community market in Houston’s historic East End, launches its first monthly market on Saturday, February 11 from 12-6 pm at The Plant (3401 Harrisburg Blvd.). In partnership with Concept Neighborhood, Super Neighborhood 63, East End Management District and Houston Plant Market, the inaugural market will feature more than 30 Houston-area vendors, many of which are local to the East End; a vinyl DJ; a plant market with pot painting and floral arrangement classes; a mariachi band and taco truck at Santana; and much more. Champ Burger, the iconic Second Ward institution, will be open during market hours and into the late evening. In honor of Valentine’s Day, a romantic comedy will be streamed at sunset, right across from Champ Burger.

The inaugural Second Saturday in Second Ward falls just three days before Valentine’s Day, just in time for everyone looking to take in the perfect date experience ahead of the holiday. While the market is free to attend, some featured activities will be fee based.
