Eric is both a visual and musical artist. After a stint being homeless on the streets of Portland, he returns home to live out a classic coming-of-age story clothed in heroin addiction and punk rock. This is genre fiction at its finest—fascinating if you’re into the scene and boring as hell if you’re not. While mostly well-plotted and written, there’s a little too much deus ex machina for this reviewer’s taste. —Angel Curtis
