Gay Marriage Activist to Speak in NH

KEENE, N.H. – Gay marriage activist Charlene Strong is traveling to New Hampshire to talk about her role in the fight to win domestic partnerships for same-sex couples in Washington.

Strong told lawmakers during public hearings into establishing a partnership law about how she was initially barred from the hospital room and later encountered obstacles in trying to donate her partner’s retinas, and in planning the funeral.

She will be at Keene State College on Friday to share her story and discuss the status of efforts to win same-sex marriage.
