HOPERA presents the Houston premier of As One in partnership with the Montrose Center and supported by Eureka Heights Brew Co this November 2024. As One tells the story of Hannah, a transgender protagonist, on her journey of acceptance, belonging, and eventual self-realization in the face of adversity and doubt. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, this contemporary chamber opera for two voices and string quartet was composed and created by Laura Kaminsky with libretto by Mark Campbell and Kimberly Reed.
