Forget about trekking to the theater for your movie fix and head to Market Square Park for a free outdoor screening of the coming of age comedy Lady Bird (R). Bring your blankets and watch as Lady Bird McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) navigates a loving, but turbulent relationship, with her strong-willed mother over the course of her eventful and poignant senior year of high school.

Lawn chairs and blankets are highly recommended. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Outside alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the park; however, beer and wine are sold at Niko Niko’s on-site along with delicious Greek and American food. The Historic Market Square neighborhood is also home to many other restaurants that provide take-out food service.
