Home for the Holidays: Family Caregiver & Aging Adult Resource Expo

November 25 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
free

As the holiday season approaches, many Houston families — including those in the LGBTQ+ community — face the emotional and logistical challenges of caring for aging parents and loved ones. Home for the Holidays is a free, one-day community expo created to make that journey easier.

The event connects family caregivers, adult children, and seniors with more than 40 trusted local organizations, all under one roof. Attendees can meet experts in home care, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, mobility, and financial planning — gaining practical resources and personalized guidance to prepare for the months ahead.

“Caregiving touches every family, and that includes our LGBTQ+ community,” says Erika Crossley, senior care strategist and founder of the event. “This expo is about ensuring every Houston family knows where to turn for support — without barriers.”

More than a resource fair, Home for the Holidays is designed to spark conversations, reduce stress, and help families plan ahead before the holiday season magnifies caregiving responsibilities. It’s a chance to build connections, get answers, and walk away with peace of mind — all free and open to the public.
