Rice Management Company has announced that it will offer free Rodeo parking at one of the lots that falls within the future 16-acre South Main Innovation District as part of a series of fun weekend event activations. The lot at 4203 Fannin (Houston, TX 77004) will be open for parking operations beginning from 12 PM until 12 AM on the dates of March 7 and 8, 14 and 15, and 21 and 22. The parking lot operator is not responsible for any vehicles left in the lot after midnight. Those interested in parking will enter on Fannin Street, where they will be directed by a parking attendant to an open spot until the lot is full.

Two food trucks will be on-site from the hours of 12 PM to 3 PM on both Saturday and Sunday of each weekend activation, including Mingo’s Latin Kitchen, PUCS Coffee Truck, Smoothie Strong, and Southern Slider Co. Additionally, TXRX Labs – a Houston-based non-profit makerspace and strategic partner on the Ion Smart Cities Accelerator Program – will be on-site for complimentary custom laser-engraved leather Rodeo-themed keychains while supplies last. Guests utilizing the parking lot will have the opportunity to have a keychain engraved with their name by an on-site TXRX technician.

When ready to depart for the Rodeo fairgrounds at NRG Park, guests will exit the Fannin lot and cross Wheeler Street in a diagonal manner to access the METRORail Wheeler Station for transit to NRG. There will be no bus or other alternative transit options offered.
