Mahesh’s Kitchen in Sugar Land Town Square today announced a week-long celebration of Diwali, a 5-day national Indian holiday known as the festival of lights. The restaurant will kick off the Diwali celebration with the following activations: November 3rd - entertainment from Azim Khan, a violinist performing from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. November 4th - DJ Heena Shah and singer Toki Singh playing the Dhol from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. November 5th - Violinist Azim Khan performing from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. November 6th - Heena Shah singing Bollywood songs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. November 7th - Kiron Nayak singing Bollywood songs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Guests can also partake in Mehendi and Heena drawing by Ayesha from November 4 through November 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the patio. During the week of Diwali, guests will be treated with complimentary Diwali specialty snacks such as Chakli, a savory spiral-shaped snack composed of fried dough, and Chiwda, a traditional Indian teatime snack made with flattened rice, spices, curry leaves and nuts. These complimentary snacks will be available November 4 through November 7 during dinner.
