OutSmart’s Gayest & Greatest constellation is full of shining stars: the community heroes, allies, businesses, and organizations that light up Houston. Nominate and vote for your favorites in our 29th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Last year, readers cast more than 100,000 votes for the people and places they love most.
Behind every nominee and vote is a story — and every light deserves to have its story told. The Gayest & Greatest helps support the OutSmart Foundation for LGBTQ News & Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sustaining independent LGBTQ journalism in Houston.
The contest has three parts. 1. The Nominations Round, Now–Sept. 13: name the stars who deserve the spotlight. 2. The Voting Round, Sept. 14–Oct. 11: vote once per category, every day, and help your favorites rise. 3. The Celebration, Nov. 12: winners shine in OutSmart’s Nov/Dec issue — and everyone’s invited to the Gayest & Greatest Awards party as we celebrate and toast Houston’s icons and divas.
