Sit down with Alejandro Hendricks, writer and director of Airport BLVD, for a wide-ranging conversation on what it really takes to make an independent film in Texas today. He'll talk about how cinema functions as a time capsule, capturing a place and a moment in ways nothing else can, and why the Texas film ecosystem is uniquely positioned for independent work right now.

He'll also unpack how Airport BLVD came together from the ground up, treating the East Austin community that shaped it as a true collaborator rather than just a backdrop, and close with practical advice for filmmakers ready to jumpstart their own next project.
