This holiday season, Houston’s most interactive science and health learning center will also be the only Teddy Bear Hospital in the local region. For one special morning, children of all ages are invited to join Santa Claus and his merry troop of medical volunteers – along with their favorite stuffed animals or toys – for the annual Teddy Bear Check-Up event at The Health Museum.

The Teddy Bear Check-Up will take place on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will include over half a dozen check-up stations designed specifically for young children to perform medical examinations on their favorite teddy bears or other stuffed toys. After completing a full medical examination on their plush companions, each child will earn a certificate of health for their furry friends.

The Teddy Bear Checkup is a great way to prepare children for what to expect in the doctor’s office, and/or to pique their curiosity about exploring careers in the medical field when they get older.
