Red Dinner

The University of Houston LGBTQ Alumni Network is pleased to announce a new date for the Red Dinner gala. The signature event raises funds for scholarships and crisis aid for LGBTQ+ students at the University of Houston and was rescheduled due to severe storms that caused widespread power outages throughout the city in May.
Red Dinner will be emceed by Pooja Lodhia, a reporter with ABC13 Eyewitness News who was also named OutSmart Magazine’s Favorite Female (Commercial) TV Personality in 2023. A keynote talk will be presented by Eddie Robinson, a well-known and award-winning radio personality who has brought countless stories from Houstonians to life through the airwaves. Entertainment will be provided by Kam Franklin, interdisciplinary artist and activist and singer and songwriter for the acclaimed band The Suffers.
The LGTBQ Alumni Network will be honoring Tammi Wallace with the Katy Caldwell Award for her valuable work as the President & CEO of the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The group will also be honoring the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus for their support of the Lavender Graduation program amidst cuts to the LGBTQ Resource Center after Senate Bill 17 was enacted.
