Opening Reception: November 2, 2018, 6:30-9:30 PM

Hardy and Nance Studios is proud to be the inaugural venue for Houston’s first annual collaborative pop-up event MIXTAPE #1: Emerging Works opening Friday, November 2nd. Like a compilation of musical genres, MIXTAPE #1 brings a diverse collection of artists, using differing styles and mediums, together for this special two-night exhibition. Using their personal social and cultural lenses, each artist expresses their individual take on the wondrously diverse environment that the city of Houston provides. The pop-up exhibition features the work of artists who have both grown up with the city and artists who came to the city as it was growing up.

MIXTAPE #1:Emerging Works provides a unique opportunity to view the artwork of under represented artists in Houston. The featured artists are as follows: David Anderson, Yanci Benitez, Rebecca Benitez, Rebecca Cook, Isabel Cuenca, Allison Currie, Josh Davis, DeeJon, Nerissa Gomez, Cameron McFarland, Kim Miranda, Molly Mockler, Louis Monnich, The Mermaid Blues, Stäcy SWM, Superflake, Jenna Trust, and Voltaire.

The MIXTAPE #1: Emerging Works exhibition plays at Hardy and Nance Studios from Friday, November 2nd through Saturday, November 3rd, with an opening party on Friday, November 2nd from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
