Houston, TX – February 12, 2017 – Houston artist Maria Bordelon presents “Folded Forms”. This exhibition represents Bordelon’s first solo exhibition. The works of cage wire, softwoods and wood veneers are the materials of choice to make the sculptures. The works are unassuming, standing forms or wall hung. The use of simple forms and simple shapes are at the beginning of the creativity.
This exhibit follows Bordelon’s recent inclusion in The Big Show at Lawndale Gallery where she was named one of the Top Ten of 2016 with her piece Folded Form-Gehry.
Maria Bordelon is represented by Samara Gallery, Houston, TX
