Lakeview Health at The Woodlands is hosting a professional lecture and dinner featuring Dr. Mark Gold, an ASAM McGovern Award Winner and a world-renowned expert in addiction related diseases. The lecture, “The Missing Link in Addiction Evaluation and Treatment,” will be held on Friday, March 1 at 6 p.m. at Masraff’s at 1753 Post Oak Blvd. in Houston.

The lecture will take a closer look at how drugs can change the brain and will look at how real problems such as depression, anxiety, sleep and appetite disorders emerge in many post addiction and recovery programs. Dr. Gold will discuss how the diagnosis and treatment of co-morbid diseases is essential and can help the medical professional develop a treatment plan that will improve the outcomes and promote long-term sobriety and recovery.
