In the rough and tumble Old West, the best laid villainous plans will sometimes go awry. In fact, that’s the basis of the plot for “Knickers in a Twist” soon coming to the stage at Old West Melodrama, opening Fri, Aug. 2, and continuing Fri and Sat evenings through Sat, Aug. 17. Dinner and a pre-show start at 7, the melodrama starts at 8. Purchasing dinner is required to attend the show. The story begins 20 yrs ago, when Brigand Chiseler’s ill-conceived plan to knock over the bank in Skivvy, Texas is stopped short by Sheriff Drab Nickers. Against his will, Brigand was forced to pay his debt to society in the local hoosegow. The villain had the time to refine the flaws of his first failed fiasco – and has a new assistant, Nick Noughtieman to help with the endeavor. But the world has changed in two decades. Hilarity and fun will ensue as the audience comes to understand why so many knickers are in a twist.
