Houston Symphony presents Andrés Fest 1: Carnival of the Animals + Symphony Soloists

Houston Symphony kicks off Andres Fest on March 18 and 19 at 8pm and on March 20 at 2:30pm. Andrés Fest: A Symphonic Celebration is* *a two-week festival honoring and celebrating the legacy of Andrés Orozco-Estrada’s eight-year tenure in his last season as Music Director. From March 18—27, the festival will pay tribute to what Orozco-Estrada has brought to the Houston Symphony and to the city of Houston. Performances will feature repertoire associated with the conductor’s time with the organization, Houston Symphony commissions including two world premieres, and solo performances by Symphony musicians.

Andres Fest 1 Kicking off Andres-Fest, Emanuel Ax and Principal Keyboard Scott Holshouser are featured in The Carnival of the Animals, with each concert showcasing a different lineup of dazzling solo performances by orchestra musicians.
