ESCAPE Family Resource Center, a Houston nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect before a child is hurt by providing education, intervention and support services to families in crisis.

Celebrity Guest: Stefanie Powers, best known for her role as Jennifer Hart on the hit television series Hart to Hart, and with a career in the performing arts spanning more than 50 years, Stefanie Powers is a champion for many causes – including animal rights and wildlife conservation. She has served for over 20 years on the boards of the mutual funds of The American Funds, and is currently involved in an updated version of her series Funding your Dreams for PBS. She continues to work on both stage and in films and will appear on Broadway in the new musical “Half Time” in 2018.

WHAT: ESCAPE Family Resource Center is excited to host their 36th Annual Celebrity Serve Benefit, “Champions for Children”, with co-chairs Joan Schnitzer Levy and Gerald Franklin. This unique sports-themed event, held during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, provides a place where influential local and national celebrities and individuals committed to supporting the prevention of child abuse and neglect come together for a fun, intimate dining experience while supporting an important cause. Held at Tony’s Restaurant, guests can sip on cocktails and enjoy dinner along with limited edition raffles, mystery bags, and a live auction.
