Cultured Cocktails with AfriFest

Thursday, November 16, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join us for drinks and conversation at Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar on Thursday, November 16, when a portion of the proceeds from all drink sales during the 5:00PM -8:00PM happy hour will go to support AfriFest. So enjoy a drink or two, meet the AfriFest team, and take-in Boheme’s bohemian atmosphere! The proceeds from the evening will support the group so don’t be shy, raise a glass (or three) while raising funds for AfriFest.

About AfriFest:
AfriFEST is a family-friendly, open-air, community event hosted by a number of partnering African organizations, and led by the Nigerian-American Multicultural Council and the African Students Association at Houston Baptist University, among others. This premier event draws over 2000 people to the Houston Baptist University campus where dozens of booths, food, music, and activities await, creating an enticing blend of art, culture, music, and dance and an opportunity for attendees to “Experience Africa.”

The objective of AfriFEST is to connect Houstonians to the people, arts, and cultures of Africa by bringing various groups together to facilitate culture exchanges via informal methods. We believe that by sharing our cultures with Houstonians, we can spotlight the positive values of Africa. The first festival was held in 2012 and has grown to the signature event it is today.
