Our last Canned Acoustica event of the fall season features all-acoustic performances by:

30footFALL Band Page – one of Houston’s most enduring punk bands that have been delivering blistering punk rock with progessive themes since the early 90’s

Stephanie Rice – the lead singer of alt-folk Houston band Colonial Blue sings with an emotional rawness balanced with precision

Say Girl Say – multi-instrument female duo, Brigette Yawn and Suzan Zaghmouth, known for their intertwining, haunting harmonies

Mind Shrine – a 4-piece band with a unique cross generational sound widely influenced in Psych, Jazz, Soul and variations of Rock.

Dead To The World – echoes a mix of old school 80’s/90’s punk with the fast paced sound of modern punk music, minus the pop

Join us for an evening of acoustic music from some of Houston’s top talent! Please bring a “can-tribution” for the Houston Food Bank. When people come together and share their support, especially when there is great music to enjoy, it’s always a special event.

The Canned Acoustica series presents some of the best musical acts in town in an unplugged concert on Discovery Green’s Grace Event Lawn as part of the XFINITY Entertainment Series. This much-loved Houston series returns to challenge bands to rearrange and reimagine songs using acoustic instruments only, resulting in unique, intimate and soulful performances.

Rap, metal, indie, rock, soul — each concert includes a mix of genres by local and regional talent. Canned Acoustica was named best concert series by the Houston Press.
