On Saturday, April 7, the Northside community will come together for the 7th annual Sabor Del Northside Festival, a free public celebration for the whole family that honors the neighborhood’s vibrant history and culture. Residents attending the Saturday afternoon festival at Castillo Park can enjoy live music and dance performances, food trucks, merchandise vendors, live mural paintings, a children’s area, arts and crafts activities, a student art show and salsa tasting contest.

Sabor Del Northside is supported by Avenue as part of the ongoing effort to preserve the heritage and culture of Houston neighborhoods and improve the quality of life. This year’s celebration is sponsored by Legacy Community Health, HCC Northeast, MD Anderson, White Oak Music Hall, AARP, St. Arnold’s Brewery, and more.

Sabor Del Northside is a resident-led festival organized with support from Avenue as part of the ongoing effort to preserve the heritage and culture of Houston neighborhoods and contribute to the quality of life. Working in Houston’s inner-loop for over 26 years, Avenue is dedicated to community preservation and revitalization, creating affordable housing opportunities and inspiring leadership from within local neighborhoods. The organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life for local families and promote the rich history, culture and diversity of Houston’s neighborhoods.
