Be prepared to start your new projects

This is an especially busy planetary month, and it marks the end of the two-steps-forward-one-step-back mode we’ve been in. As Mercury goes direct on the 7th we’ll move forward much more easily, so be prepared to start your new projects. Jupiter changes signs and enters Leo on the 16th for a 12-month visit. This should give us an energetic boost. Saturn goes direct on the 20th, and that should help us get more organized with a better overall plan for the future. And finally, Uranus goes stationary retrograde on the 21st. This should give more power and emphasis to the marriage-equality movement. • When we have this much activity in one month, we’ll notice there’s more pressure on us to be decisive. • Good days this month are the 7th, 13th, and 24th; days with extra tension are the 1st, 4th, 8th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 28th.
Aries (March 21–April 19). You will be working on making your home and family safer and more comfortable this month. This could also be a time for moving or purchasing real estate. Relationships are in a period of renewal in your life. If you aren’t paying attention, you could be having some real struggles. That eventually lightens up after the 25th. In general, life takes an easier pace after mid month. Keep working on getting your finances in order.
Taurus (April 20–May 20). The first half of the year has been a time of evaluating your career goals and getting your life in order. You are much more active and decisive this month, so this is the time to put your long-term plans into motion. Your energy level picks up especially after mid month. Relationships are much more active, and it’s a good time to put yourself out there if you are single, or rejuvenate an existing relationship. Your home and family life is much more important after mid month. It’s a good time to invite others over to share some summertime fun.
Gemini (May 21–June 21). With your ruling planet going direct after the 7th, you are feeling a lot less stuck. This is a good month to focus on finances, since you may want to spend some money in July! You have a lot to say, and you will want to get clear with the people around you. This sense of clarity will extend to you doing much more organizing in your own life. Toward the end of the month you will want to focus more on your health routines. Interactions with co-workers could be edgier, so avoid the drama if you can.
Cancer (June 22–July 22). Happy Birthday to the Moon Kids! This is your personal yearly cycle of review and renewal. This is always a good time to look back at what you have accomplished and set new goals for the coming year. Cancerians are still in a rapid growth period, although things aren’t as edgy as they were in April. You’re wearing your feelings on the outside of your crab shell, not willing to hide them as much as usual. You’ve needed to have a strong me-first attitude this year, but that tension will finally lessen by the very end of July. Your creative skills remain strong, so capitalize on your talents! Leo (July 23–August 22). You are in a bit of a holding pattern as the month begins—more of a retreat time, rather than a time of action. Your overall plan to get organized with your home and family life gains momentum. Jupiter (planet of good fortune, expansion, and gluttony) enters your sign for the coming year on July 16. This should help provide more opportunities for career improvement, great relationship connections, and just a better sense of contentment. Look for a strong boost in your energy after the 26th.
Virgo (August 23–September 22). Your career energies have been on hold since Mercury, your ruling planet, went retrograde in your career sector—but that all shifts after the 7th. You are ready to put new plans into action. You continue to be in more of a social mood, even though you still need to be sure you have time alone. (Yes, this could get confusing!) Toward the end of the month, you will take some time to retreat. Watch your spending during July. Relationships remain a bit of a mystery, and you’re not sure what you want to do. Eventually that will clear up toward the very end of the year.
Libra (September 23–October 23). This has been a busy year for you, and that theme continues in July. Your career energies remain strong. This is a good time to look for a promotion or change positions for more opportunity. Mars, planet of self and action, has been in your sign since December 7, and that will continue to push you to put yourself first—not always easy for Librans. Although you have more self-confidence, you have not been very easy to get along with. That finally calms down at the very end of the month. You are moving into a more socially active time. Get involved in some community organizations!
Scorpio (October 24–November 21). With Saturn visiting your sign for the last couple of years, this has been such a time of reevaluation. You have been taking your life very seriously and establishing some priorities and long-term goals. And you have been working behind the scenes, so you haven’t been as visible as usual. This should all shift about mid month. Career opportunities open up for you this year. This can be a great month to explore all sorts of options. In your relationships, this is a great time to renew vows or to establish real boundaries in your relationship.
Sagittarius (November 22–December 21). As the month opens, we continue to work on getting our finances in order. Relationships demand more intimacy this month. With Mercury going direct in your relationship sector, you can finally move forward without needing to mull over the past. As we get to the end of the month, you will want to make some long-term decisions regarding your relationships. You will have a greater understanding of what you need and what you don’t need. You are getting more socially-minded as we progress through 2014. Hang on—life will soon be a lot more fun!
Capricorn (December 22–January 19). Relationships, home, family, and career all continue to be very active in your sign. You are more focused on relationships as the month begins. You and your partner (business or personal) have had to be a lot more realistic this month. Even though you want to move forward, you are not willing to settle just to keep the peace. At work, you are feeling stronger. This is a good time to take a leadership role, or even to consider starting your own business. As we get into August, you’ll feel more social and community-minded. A professional organization could be very, very beneficial for you and your business.
Aquarius (January 20–February 18). As the month opens, you’ll continue to be in a cleaning or reorganizing mode. You have really been working on your career energies and long-term planning this year, and you will take that to the next level as Saturn goes direct on the 20th. Relationship energies improve a great deal as Jupiter, planet of benevolence, enters your partnership arena for the next year. This can really help with existing relationships, and if you are single, it could open the door for new relationships as well. With Mars, planet of action, entering your career sector by the end of the month, you will be ready to take the bull by the horns!
Pisces (February 18–March 20). You have been in a more laid-back mode since last month, and it’s been a much more creative and playful time. You have also been in a nostalgic mood, really thinking about the years when you were growing up. But now you have that feeling that you’re ready to move forward. You are moving into a cleaning and organizing mode in July, so this is the time to get your ducks in a row. Career energies open up for you toward the end of the month as you want to do more with your life. But the main concern, no matter what choices you make, is to remember to take care of yourself first. As long as you are true to yourself, you will have plenty of energy and drive to accomplish what you need to do.
