Over the Bridge of Time: A Paul Simon Retrospective (1964–2011)

7 PaulSimonThis marks the first single-CD collection to contain songs from both the Simon & Garfunkel era and Simon’s post-S&G solo recording career. The songs are sequenced chronologically, beginning with “The Sound of Silence,” the first single from Simon & Garfunkel (composed by Simon) to work its way into the collective American psyche in late 1965. The Simon & Garfunkel era concludes with four songs from Bridge over Troubled Water. The Simon solo era was launched with “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” and “Mother and Child Reunion,” and continues with “Still Crazy after All These Years,” “You Can Call Me Al,” and many more.
