Taking a shoeless cue from k.d. lang, the golden-throated Menzel now chooses to perform sans footwear, which explains the title of her most recent recording. Her exposed tootsies have certainly been no drag on that unmistakable voice, which offered these tunes in a recent acclaimed PBS special.
