2 Men Charged With Beating Up Gays in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Two men have been charged with a Halloween night attack on two gay men in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Press-Telegram says the men were charged Wednesday with assault with a deadly weapon–their fists–with an enhancement of great bodily harm.

Prosecutors say the defendants beat up two men last Monday night near the Gay and Lesbian Center of Greater Long Beach. The victims had moderate injuries.

The attack is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
