It’s not often that a “family” sitcom can be compared to visionary Norman Lear’s groundbreaking 1970s TV series All in the Family, but in this case, parallels are reasonable. MF’s second season hysterically yet profoundly delves even deeper into the souls of the Pritchett and Dunphy clans. Key episodes find Jay (Ed O’Neill) out on the town, connecting with his new gay pal, Pepper (Nathan Lane), and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) resisting being thought of as a mother figure.
