Oh yes, she’s back. The rhythmic, tribal throb that was Jones’s signature sound in the ’70s and ’80s has returned, stronger than ever. The opening cut, “This Is Life,” propels us straight back to the primordial landscape, and builds from there. Nearly every cut here sounds like the final-word, roll-the-credits tune on a feature film. “Corporate Cannibals” is quease-inducingly brilliant, with “Well Well Well” offering an appealing Caribbean flavor.
