Ballet Maneuvers. Following 17 years of dedication that grew Houston Ballet into the United States’ fourth-largest ballet company, Houston Ballet executive director Cecil C. New Dean at Glassell. Museum of Fine Arts Houston has named Patrick Palmer as Faculty Chair/Dean of the Glassell School and Art History Department. An artist whose work hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Denver Art Museum, and elsewhere, Palmer was tapped for the position following former chair/dean Suzanne Mann’s retirement. mfah.org.
