As the month opens, we are as busy as ever. People are feeling more upbeat and optimistic. It seems that we are in the mood to find common ground and fix problems instead of just arguing about them. We are looking for a new champion to lead us out of this muck. Overall, the planets remain in less conflicting relationships, and that is what helps ease the tension. By the end of the month, tensions are much higher. There could be some intensification in our country’s international conflicts. • Some good days this month to take advantage of are the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 14th. Days to stay in bed are the 17th, 18th, 20th, 24th, and 25th. The 20th is mixed, but the day ends more down. • As the month opens, the sun is in Aquarius and flows into Pisces on the evening of the 18th. Mercury is moving as fast as ever, starting the month in Capricorn, quickly entering the mental sign of Aquarius on the 3rd, and finally joining the sun in Pisces on the 21st. Venus leaves spicy Sag on the 4th and enters serious Capricorn. Mars is flying through Aquarius and joining the Sun and Mercury in Pisces on the 22nd. The outer planets are happy where they are—but next month, Uranus enters Aries.

ARIES (March 21–April 19). Jupiter has just entered your sign and will be there for the next six months. Jupiter is all about growth, expansion, feeling hungry, and social networking. All of you can expect to be very busy during this entire time. Right now you are focused on getting connected to more people socially. It’s a very good time to reconnect with old friends, and an even better time to make new ones. You are still very focused on career, and this month can open you up to new contacts and customers. You will need to rest some at the end of the month.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20). You are very much focused on your career at this time. Mars is in your career sector until the end of the month. You will feel impatient about all of the projects you are working on. This can be a great month for you to explore new contacts. If you are unhappy where you are working, you are more than ready for a change. Watch your temper! Your relationship energies remain positive, which is good for your existing relationships. For those dealing with tense relationships, this positive energy can help things go more smoothly.

GEMINI (May 21–June 21). In your normal world of duality, you are feeling a little bit serious and a little bit playful as the month begins. Your playful side takes over by the second week. You are ready to work on things that you have a direct interest in. It is a great month for classes or updating skills in your field. This social trend only continues as your career begins to take a more dominant lead near the end of the month. You are very energized and ready to take some risks. Relationship energies improve next month.

CANCER (June 22–July 22). You will be concentrating on relationships this month. For many of you, this is clearly a time to review and possibly renew all current relationships. You are seeking to get closer and develop a greater level of trust. Your sexual energies are higher than usual, but also more erratic. As you evaluate your relationships, some will be renewed, others will end, and some new ones will appear on the horizon. You will have a lot of new ideas about your career path, so get ready to take some action there as well.

LEO (July 23–August 22). Mars is visiting your relationship sector this month. This means you may need to try the “chase and capture” method of spicing up your love life. If your relationship is doing well, this can be sort of a fun getaway time. If your relationship is doing poorly, those issues will come to the forefront and be dealt with this month. Keep your eyes open at work—there is some new social activity there. You are getting along better with most of your co-workers. This can be a great time to make office politics work to your benefit. Your sexual drive becomes stronger toward the end of the month.

VIRGO (August 23–September 22). This month you are getting your fitness and work routines into some sort of order. You will find that you are getting more impatient with the piles of stuff you have around you. You’ll need to do more than just cleaning up—find a place for things so you don’t have to do this again until next year. You will be clear and succinct in your ideas about work, and you are ready for some innovation there. By the end of the month, relationship needs creep into the picture. It can be a strong time for the renewal of existing relationships.

LIBRA (September 23–October 23). Most of you will finally get a break from all of the home and family and emotional security issues that you’ve had to focus on. Those of you born on the 23rd or 24th are still digging at those issues, and they will continue for the rest of the year. You are more than ready for a break. This is a month of play for you. You may not be able to play, but that’s what the universe wants you to do. You may feel lazy and want to avoid the work around you. By the end of the month, this feeling will pass as you get back into your work routine. You are still re-evaluating your take on relationships. Better boundaries are on the way.

SCORPIO (October 24–November 21). Home, roots, and your emotional foundation drive your soul this month. There is a lot of activity there, and you could be moving, redecorating, or just taking on a massive general cleaning. If there are problems among family members, this is the time for those problems to surface so you can deal with them. They will have held the problems in for a while, so they will be fairly irrational. Your diplomatic skills will come in handy. By the end of the month, you are really ready for a break, and “Me-Me-Me” becomes your theme song.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21).   You are getting your message out this month by being more direct than usual, and others could be caught off guard. You may also find that there is so much to do that you become a bit disorganized. If you slow down some, you can let your body catch up with your brain. You can get lots of things organized, and it’s also a good time to start new projects. The end of the month brings a sense of getting down to business. Home and family begin to call to you.

CAPRICORN (December 22–January 19). As the focus has moved mostly off of your health, you will now be focusing on your money. All of sudden, you are ready to get this part of your life in order. This information may make you feel trapped, and the best way to respond is to get your finances in order. You may want to run out and spend money as a way to escape from this feeling, but Ernie Ford said that would only get you deeper in debt. Don’t overload yourself with this project by trying to get it all done this month. As the month ends, things begin to look more organized and you are finding some peace.

AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18). Happy Birthday to the Aquarians. February marks the end of your personal solar calendar and the start of a new year. You are bringing some things to a close, and with other things you are renewing your goals. There are plenty of new goals on the horizon this year. It’s such a great year for writing or getting your personal views out there, and you may also travel more or even go back to school. Money becomes more important as the month progresses.

PISCES (February 19–March 20). This is your month for rest and retreat. You are in a place of physical and spiritual renewal. You will want to make sure that you only have people around you whom you can trust. And yes, you are more sensitive than usual, making it harder to be around people or crowds. You will feel renewed as Mars enters your sign at the end of the month, when you’ll be ready to take on any project. Until then, rest and take it easy. Get that sleep you love so much. It will be time to get up on the 18th.
