As the month begins, we are still moving slowly with our social and financial commitments. Things are moving more rapidly in the area of personal relationships. Life may continue to slog along until after the 18th. The Thanksgiving holiday should be much more upbeat as people look for more social and familial connections during that time. • As we get closer to the end of the month, people will seem a bit more on the ball. The pace quickens as Venus, planet of love and money, goes direct on the 18th along with Jupiter. Venus will move us into a more purposeful time. Jupiter, planet of travel and expansion, will bring back a sense of optimism that will be with us throughout 2011. • The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd. Mercury starts the month in Scorpio and enters Sagittarius on the 8th. Venus is busy—starting in Scorpio, backing into Libra, and moving back into Scorpio by the end of the month. Mars is having a gay old time in Sagittarius. The rest of the planets are also happy—for the moment.

ARIES (March 21–April 19). You are generally in a serious mood as the month opens. You have been trying to clean things out and get clear about the direction your life is taking. Relationships have had you looking at some core issues during October. You will begin to get into the holiday mood after the 9th. Keep working on the boundaries in your life—it’s all about where you start and stop. You are likely to tell others what you think at work, even though they may not be prepared for this. You will want some play time at the end of the month.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20). Relationships are still the big thing on your plate in November. This can be a critical time for some of you. You are seeking more trust, with much less drama. You will not be drawn toward big crowds during Thanksgiving. This year you are more inclined to spend time with a select group of people. Your friends can really be important this year, providing both emotional support and networking for your career. Your career energies are in flux until the end of the month.

GEMINI (May 21–June 21). Work and health habits are what you are paying the most attention to as the month begins. You continue to reorganize your office and your relationships with your co-workers. Don’t expect to get all of this right until around Thanksgiving. You are more impatient than usual. Don’t take on too many projects this month, or you could go spinning out of control. Relationships become the focus after mid-month. After the 21st is a great time to further develop those relationships. If you are involved, this is a very good time to reignite the passion.

CANCER (June 22–July 22). You are feeling stretched apart by the desire to play and the guilt of neglecting your responsibilities at work. There are certainly some things you want to do, but you can’t seem to commit to that first step. That will all shift after Thanksgiving. You may even try to overcompensate for all that time you spent relaxing and playing. November is really about getting your work and health habits in shape.  Be sure to take time off on Thanksgiving.

LEO (July 23–August 22). You want to have your family close to you this year. You are really focused on your emotional inner hearth as you have learned to be the support for your family. You often sense that you are not really appreciated by the people you’ve helped. This is a good time to consider redecorating and making your home a more beautiful and comfortable place. It would be good to have friends and family in your home this year for the holidays. Don’t be alone.

VIRGO (August 23–September 22). This month you are still cleaning up old financial matters and getting your communication problems fixed—things you’ve been working on throughout October. There are a lot of new things out there on the horizon for you to do, but you need to take care of business before you can go out to play. You become more focused on your home and your own comfort level. You may want to wait until January 2011 before you start any major home remodeling or make plans to move.

LIBRA (September 23–October 23). With Saturn in your sign, every decision will have to be made on the basis of how much it costs and what you will get from it. You will not seem as easy to get along with as you have been in the past. This is just a sign that you’re getting better at setting boundaries. If you forget about those boundaries, Saturn will remind you! Choose your holiday gatherings wisely this year. Everyone may want you to join them, but you certainly won’t want to attend every event.

SCORPIO (October 24–November 21). Happy Birthday to the Scorpios. With Venus retrograde in your sign, it has been a very introspective year. Looking at how you are treated and valued by others is high on your list this month. On the relationship front, this is a time to look at your past accomplishments and set new directions for you and your partner. You will want to wait until after Thanksgiving to put these new plans into action. Your partnerships have been under scrutiny. Money will be easy to spend for the next 45 days.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21). You may be buried in projects and attempting to get them finished before the holidays arrive. You may feel like you want to pull back on the reins, but try to get as much done as you can before the 10th. After that, you shift into your holiday mode. You will want to embrace your holiday traditions until the end of December. On the employment front, you are trying to make a career shift and don’t want to end up doing the same old things that you’ve been doing.

CAPRICORN (December 22–January 19). November is a good time for working and planning. You are taking the time to look at some long-range plans, especially those related to your career. Old friends should be looking you up and reconnecting with you. Some of this may have to do with business, and you should avoid making any business decisions until after Thanksgiving. Many of you are going to want to move or redo your home in 2011. Best to wait until January to start that project.

AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18). The Venus retrograde has had a strong impact on you. Venus has had you rethinking your current career path—especially the people who you work with and for. You are not able to pretend to get along with them if they are trying to be more conscious. Watch what you say, as it may permanently affect your job. Friends are much more open, and may even lend a shoulder for you to cry on. Do something different for the holidays.

PISCES (February 19–March 20). You are feeling more energetic than you have felt in awhile. You are being pressured at work, and you may find that you are running around like a chicken without a head. Be careful about who you try to please. There are a lot of changes going on with your friends, and they may be having to make some difficult life choices. You will want to help if you can, but many things are beyond your control. You are much more playful by the end of the month.
